Dr. Cukic is a Robert C. Byrd Professor of Computer Science and Electrical
Engineering at West Virginia University
. He received a Dipl. Ing. (BS) degree in Computer Science from the
University of Ljubljana, Slovenia,
and both M.S. and Ph.D.
degrees in Computer Science from the University of Houston in
1993 and 1997, respectively. His research interests include
software engineering, information
assurance and biometrics, fault-tolerant and high-performance computing.
Dr. Cukic is the co-director of Center
for Identification Technology Research (CITeR), an NSF Industry
University Cooperative Research Center, and the director of WVU High Assurance Systems Lab (HASEL).
He is a member of the Editorial Board of
Empirical Software Engineering Journal, a member of the ISSRE
Steering Committee, and has served as the
program committee Co-Chair of
HASE '07, SRDS '05, and ISSRE '03.
