About SSAB

Founded in 2003, the Student Society for the Advancement of Biometrics (SSAB) has established itself as a credible and substantial student organization among the many student organizations found here on the West Virginian University campus. Along with Kelly Smith and its many founding members, SSAB has established a list of goals it shall strive to continually achieve every year. These goals are listed as follows.

Goals of SSAB:

+To provide the biometrics industry with the best source of qualified and knowledgeable employees and interns

+Increase travel for all members that are interested in attending conferences and events

+To help educate the community and potential students on the benefits of biometric applications

+Spread SSAB to other colleges and universities

+To aid students in their transition from academia to the professional world
