Minutes: November 19, 2008
NBSP Trip
- Tour facilities, make contacts- internship opportunity. Dress business casual (polo's, khakis, etc.)
- Waterfront, Morgantown on December 3rd at 10 am- how many plan on attending?
- Still unknown - Meet at Evansdale Library parking lot at 9:20 am, depart at 9:30 am due to morning traffic.
- Will take 2-3 hours - Will need additional car if more than 10 are attending.
- Does not look like more
T-Shirts
- Treasurer Shawn Cain has been looking into prices.
- Design committee would be useful over Christmas break- see t-shirt criteria handout.
- No questions, generating good ideas
- Reep Graphics - Suggestion from Eddie: Ignoring copyright concerns, something like a reference to this on a shirt. Photos would not work well but the image could be processed through something like VectorMagic to make it more cartoony.
Volunteering
- Very pleased with volunteer effort thus far.
- Estimate 50+ hours so far- more than triple last years number. Keep it going!
- Official number turned in: 51.5 hours! - Rewards
- Reach 10 hours to receive a $10 gift certificate to Hollywood theaters
- Sam Romano, Dani Wilson, CJ McGinnis
- Member who volunteers the most hours before the final meeting receives a $50 gift card or gas card. - Reporting hours
- SSAB must report hours promptly to receive credit.
- Make sure you have filled out a CCE enrollment form, if not let me know.
- Fill out volunteer forms and turn in at each meeting.
- Don't forget: 25 hours community service up for grabs- first come, first serve.
- Gift certificate requests must be received before the meeting. - BioCOP volunteer hours
- Began Mon. 11/17. Do not submit a timesheet if you are volunteering. If you do, you will get paid, and your hours will not be counted as volunteer efforts.
Fundraising
- Pizza Sales
- Despite cancellation, sales went well- downtown sale will be conducted in the Spring. Downtown sale cancelled.
Profit- $70 even with cost of supplies, including soda we can use in the Spring. Make more money in the Spring.
Note- Cheaper prices (2 for $2, $1 soda) and better location MRB were more profitable. - New Ideas
