Katerina Goseva-Popstojanova is Associate Professor at the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV. Prior to joining WVU, she was Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Duke University, Durham, NC. Her research interests are in reliability, availability, and performance assessment of software and computer systems, and computer security and survivability. She has published over 60 journal and conference articles on these topics. She received the National Science Foundation CAREER award in February 2005. She has been affiliated with the NASA IV&V Facility in Fairmont, WV since October 2001. She has served as a Principal Investigator on various NSF, NASA, WVU Research Corporation, NASA West Virginia Space Grant Consortium, CACC, and Motorola funded projects. She served as a Program Chair of the 18th International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering (ISSRE 2007), and is currently serving as a Guest Editor of the Special Issue of IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering on Evaluation and Improvement of Software Dependability. She served and is currently serving on program and organizing committees of international conferences and workshops, including IEEE International Symposium on Software Reliability Engineering , IEEE/IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks (Performance and Dependability Symposium), and IEEE High Assurance Systems Engineering Symposium . She is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of ACM.
