I am a Professor in the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at West Virginia University.  My research and teaching interests are in the areas of communication theory and statistical signal processing.  I received my B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Virginia Tech and my M.S. from Johns Hopkins.  While pursuing my M.S., I worked full-time as an Electronics Engineer at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.  Upon joining WVU in 1999, I founded the Wireless Communications Research Lab.   I am registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of West Virginia.

Research: My research is concerned with the design, optimization, simulation, and implementation of wireless systems. 

Publications: I have published 22 journal papers, 70 conference papers, and 3 book chapters, all of which you may download and read.  My 1999 dissertation and an assortment of recent presentations have also been posted.

Courses: I teach a variety of classes in the areas of communications, signal processing, and probability theory.  

Seminars: I run the graduate seminar series for LCSEE, many of which are co-sponsored by the IEEE Pittsburgh Section.
