FIRST-COURSE LANGUAGE FOR COMPUTER SCIENCE MAJORS

Here's the latest summary of responses listing the

languages used in the FIRST course for Computer Science

majors. The course is also often referred to as CS1.

Please send me (e-mail, please) any CORRECTIONS if you

have FIRST-HAND, CURRENT knowledge (you're THERE NOW).

Send in ADDITIONS if you have reasonably current

information at least somewhat beyond a hunch.

A new posting appears when there have been substantial

changes (~10%) to the listings.

This is the 6th. edition, 4-9-92.

I do receive some mail about changes under consideration,

but I don't include anything of this sort in the listing

until you tell me of its finality and effective date.
