The West Virginia Virtual Environments Laboratory is located in rooms G1 and G11 of the Concurrent Engineering Research Center (CERC) building, on the Medical Campus of West Virginia University, 886 Chestnut Ridge Road,  Morgantown, West Virginia.

The VE Lab is funded by West Virginia EPSCoR, the National Science Foundation's EPSCoR and Knowledge and Distributed Intelligence programs, and the U. S. Department of Energy's National Energy Technology Laboratory.
